Phil Settle was born in Georgia and raised in Texas. 

Phil attended North Texas State University (Denton, Texas) as a Jazz Education Major.  He began his professional music career in Houston, Texas.  As founder, lead singer/guitarist of the bands BITTERSWEET, SWEETRUSH, BOUNCE, and THE PHIL SETTLE BAND, he has performed in hundreds of nightclubs, hotels, and college campuses across the South and Texas, where he was called a "a Texas Music legend" by Kevin Wildman of HOUSTON MUSIC NEWS

Throughout his career he has worked as a singer/songwriter, producer, arranger, session musician, digital programmer and recording engineer at studios such as MUSIC MILL in Nashville, FAME in Muscle Shoals, INERGI in Houston, and RUMBO in Los Angeles.  Currently living in Alta Loma, CA, he runs his own recording studio and music publishing company, for which he writes, produces and performs music for commercials, television and feature films among various other musical ventures.

Artist/Co-writer with John Huckert - AS LONG AS WE BOTH SHALL LOVE, end-title song from CONCORDE-NEW HORIZONS' (Roger Corman) new film SHAKEDOWN.

Producer with Lauren Adams, of Lauren's new CD Thirsty.

Composer/Music Director/Performer - PAX TV's A COLORADO CHRISTMAS, starring Debbie Boone and Bob Carlyle.

Composer/Music Supervisor - MPH Productions' independent feature film HARD.

1996 L. A. Emmy Award Nominee - Music Composer for Cable TV.

Producer of CD Standard Procedure featuring Angela Carole Brown, Dana Bronson, and Jim DiJulio. 

Producer with Sean Holt, of Sean’s CD Heart Behind the Man

Bandleader/theme collaborator for Group W's THE CHUCK WOOLERY SHOW. 

Performer/co-writer of the title song for New World Pictures' DEAD HEAT staring Joe Piscopo and Treat Williams. 

Writer/producer/performer of music for Vestron's MIDNITE CROSSING starring Faye Dunaway and Daniel J. Travanti. 

Performer/co-writer of the title song for HBO movie RED SUN RISING starring Terry Ferrell.

Phil has performed with such notables as Carole King, Rita Coolidge, Kenny Loggins, Susan Anton, Lou Rawls, Kenny Rogers, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr., Eddie Rabbit, Deneice Williams, Mel Tillis, Brook Benton and others. 

He also performs as bandleader and master of ceremonies for special events of all kinds at many of Los Angeles' most elite establishments, such as the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Bel-Air Hotel, Bel-Air Country Club, Beverly Hills Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel, Riviera Country Club, Biltmore Hotel, and more.
